Wyeth Campground

Didn't have any rain although went through a section of road that had been rained on and got splashed pretty good. My shoes got soaked as did the bear canister which amazed me because last year it never got wet and I went thru a lot of rain. Go figure.

Saw rafters getting white water on White Salmon River!

Once I got on the Gorge I had a headwind for about 30 miles until cascade locks.

Tripped out as I crossed the bridge because it had a grate I could see through and watch the water. Traffic behind it didn't like me fooling around like that very much. It was free for bikes too!

Bought some sort of sweet tart cherries before crossing the bridge.

Before the locks I waved to a train and got a slight honk. There was nothing going on so things like that kind of help fill in the boredom.

Played pass and be passed by a group of older guys riding their bikes with a sag van.

Had some MRE pizza snacks and carrots for lunch. The snacks were amazingly good. The ingredients were all Latin though.

As I went up Herman road there were a bunch of guys that looked like gangsters shooting their guns and making a lot of noise.

Camped next to some college guys. They're playing good music but not loud enough to hear well. Why is it that only the crappy music is audible in campgrounds?
